Dunlopillo ring cushion (http://www.youreableshop.co.uk/modules/shop/view.asp?catid=133&Prodcode=PR1672) is a bacteria-static latex foam ring cushion (http://www.youreableshop.co.uk/modules/shop/view.asp?catid=133&Prodcode=PR1672) that gives extra comfort while sitting. The flame retardant foam can be steam sterilised and a flame retardant cotton cover can be purchased separately.

Would a child's rubber ring not serve the same purpose, in a pillow case?

I'm sure that's what the midwife recommended if stitches made sitting painful!

Can you not ask his GP for something. I'm sure you can get these on prescription.
