DD freckle concerns.

My DD (almost 9) has a freckle on her inside thigh. I've never noticed it until last night. It's very dark and she says it has been irritating her. Am I right in thinking I should get it checked out by a doctor?

I'd take her to doc or pharmacist just to get it checked, it's probably nothing to worry about though so don't start panicking!!

It's probably nothing but worth checking out. Better safe than sorry and if she is inclined to be freckly then good for her to have it in her mind as well...

Always better to be safe than sorry with these type of things - probably nothing to worry about but kids are never too young to learn about telling parents and doctors of changes in their skin!

Does she know if it's changed colour or size? I wouldn't worry and just go to a GP. GP's are experienced at spotting potential problems very quickly and referring you on to a specialist.

It might be as simple as it's annoying her if there are long thick hairs on it given the place. Perhaps a specific fabric is irritating it.

GP will put your mind at rest. It's always to get in there sooner rather than later just incase as it makes treatment more viable.
