I'm thinking of having a go at making my own soaps and bath bombs. Does anyone know where the cheapest place to buy essential oils is? They are selling small bottles for just under £2 inc P+P on ebay, but as I want a large selection of fragrances this could end up quite expensive. Is there anywhere I can get them cheaper on the high street?

Bear in mind that cheaper oils might be a lower % of the actual oil.

Zipvit (http://www.zipvit.com/cgi-bin/vitcart.cgi?cstart#85) and Simply Supplements (http://www.simplysupplements.net/essential-oils-c-39.html?osCsid=f34d17da4facf5411002ee3468bfbe79)do a range of aromatherapy oils that seem cheap but I've no idea of the quality.
SAVERS on the high street also have a few quite cheap but again I'm not guaranteeing the strength.
If you were going to invest in quite a few (more than £40's worth) it looks like this would be a good place to buy them wholesale price. All aromotherapy oils are half price at Holland and Barrett at the moment, the offer is on until 8 November.

Thanks everyone. I have purchased one bottle from Ebay and am going to try making bath bombs as soon as I get a bit of spare time. If they come out well I will try your suggestions when purchasing more oil

There is huge variation in price and quality in essential oils. Someone I know who has a business that uses a lot of them buys different oils from different suppliers.
You need to use your nose really. I would only buy an oil once you know what it smells like. I wouldn't buy on Ebay until you really know what you are doing.
My advice would be to find a shop somewhere near you where they have their own products made and see if you can get friendly with them. They might be willing to sell you essential oils.

Hi,
You need essential oils of cedarwood, lavender, rosemary, and thyme, 3 drops of each in a tablespoon of jojoba oil. Apply the mixture to bald areas of the scalp nightly. You can get more information from http://www.essentialoilsonline.co.uk.

Hi,
In aromatherapy, essential oils play an important part. Only a particular essential oil is used for a particular treatment and is very important in curing the ailment. In order to get a good quality essential oil at a competitive price, a little online research is helpful. You can get more information from www.essentialoilsonline.co.uk.

Hi,
Quality of essential oils is a very important feature to look for when purchasing essential oils. You purchase cheap essential oils from a local vendor not knowing that it is the result of third or fourth distillate. You can get more information from www.essentialoilsonline.co.uk.
