How much for a flu jab?

I do not fall under any of the groups that receive free flu jabs, has anyone on here paid to have it done by their doctor and how much did it cost?

I would ring your g.p's surgery and ask there. I do receive the flu jab every year but i honestly do not know how much it will cost.

Reeeeeally? I hadnt realised they were allowed to do that kinda thing, I will find out if anywhere locally does it. I am DEFINITELY going to invest either way, I'm an awful poorly person lol

I wonder if there really is evidence that the Flu Jab really works ? I know that the elderly and those with chronic illnesses should have them but for the ordinary person in the street ?

It just seems to me that everyone I know that has them done always seems to get lots of Fluy type illnesses in the winter where as myself and most of my family who don't have this jab seem to be on the whole cold and flu free....

Not trying to put people off who feel they need it but it just puzzles me why people that get the jab seem to suffer...

Hubby & I had them at 7pm last Saturday night (you couldn't get an appointment like that in the doctors).

Hi do you visit a poorly gran or grandad or someone that is at risk on a regular basis? This includes anyone with chronic bronchitis or someone on chemo therapy. My partner has parkinson's and even I do not fall into the group myself he does so I get lumped in too. Thanks a lot Ian (I am needlephobic so struggle with this one.) He has to check my blood every day as I just about pass out trying to take it myself.
