Lost V5

I've mislaid my logbook while moving (1st Aug)
I dont want to have to pay out for a new one

I know that with a photo driving license its free to get a new on when changing address.
Does anyone know a way round to not having to pay for a replacement logbook
Its annoying to have to pay for something which they're going to have to bin anyway because of the address change

If you don't fancy paying the 19 quid for a duplicate, then you could use a V62 amd re-register the car to your new address. Only downside is it'll add another owner onto it.

Pay 19quid and you'll have it next week!!!!!!!!!!

I rang them and told them I could only find my old V5, not the more recent V5C and asked them if they had sent me one. They said they had but it may have got lost in the post and offered to send me a replacement free of charge, might be worth a phone call.
