This is my first post, so hope I've done it correctly!

BBC Breathing Places and the Open University have produced a calendar to accompany the series 'Nature of Britain'.
Available free from libraries, and also via this link:

The dedicated website, bbc.co.uk/natureofbritain, is packed with extra information, details of events and activities around the country which are connected to the Breathing Places campaign. This campaign aims to inspire people to make space for nature.

The Open University has also produced a free calendar to accompany the series. Viewers can call 0870 942 1343 or visit www.open2.net (http://www.bbc.co.uk/go/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2007/09_september/11/nature.shtml/ext/_auto/-/http://www.open2.net/) to get a copy.

I cant see any mention of a calendar on the site...:confused: Only a free magazine. Do you have a direct link.

Hhhmmm....mysterious. I know that libraries will be giving away the calendars once the Alan Titchmarsh series begins on BBC1 this month (exact date to be confirmed). Perhaps the websites will include a link then? They are nice calendars, so worth looking out for...

I have been able to order a calendar just now. Click on the link and then click again on the link for the Alan Titchmarsh programme.

You have to register a few details, but the calendar should arrive within 28 days.

What an ace find, well done. Like the site and hope the calendar is as good as I assume it will be. I love hedgehogs and will be following all the advise about how to encourage one (or more!) into the garden to feed it up for hibernation.:beer:

My calendar came today. It's A4 size and folds out to A3. It even has noticeboard holes for your push pins. Well impressed (what's that about little things and the smallest minds)!

Really impressed with this calendar. There is space to write on each day (in my opinion that is what most calendars lack and even this one could have done with a bit more....), nice pictures, but especially I like all the little tips about what wildlife to look for this month, etc. Thank you very much!

Got this calender last year and it is good! Link says:

So I have emailed to ask for one with my OU id no.

I received this calendar for this year. A great calender. I emailed the OU and they regretably replied that they are not doing this offer for 2009. This is the email i received from them.

Our 2008 calendar was produced to accompany the TV series "The Nature of Britain" broadcast from October 2007.
Sadly, we have no plans for a 2009 version.
I wish I could give you better news.
