now, as much as I hate the Craphone Warehouse, I just got this month's bill through, and they have an offer for 25 free digital prints!

"25 free photo prints from the Carphone Warehouse"

Register at www.carphonewarehouse.com/photos by 31st October and we'll give you 25 free photo prints

To get your free prints, quote Offer Code CPW-VODA65CC
- you even get free p&p

It's one per household - I just registered and it gave me a free thingy confirmation! !

It's the same offer as last month - I bet they're really pleased with themselves thinking their marketing campaign is working, but we're all just moneysavers and don't want their products hahahahahaha (sorry I gotta stop ranting about CPW)

(last month's thread: http://forum.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Free;action=display;num=1093865864)

Insert From Martin: !I know there have been some suggestions about using multiple e-mail addresses to continually get the free prints. !Whilst it may work, I would caution against this and note this site does not condone that behaviour. There are terms and conditions to this deal and it is one per household. !Getting friends who live elsewhere to get the prints for you is fine, otherwise it could be seen as defrauding the offer.

Thanks very much for sharing that!

I used the last code and got my pics the next day, I then used it in my husbands name and got some more - will deff try this code again, just need to think of some different addresses !

Thanks again

Thanks for posting another offer code for free prints. I used the last one 4 times to get 100 free prints worth £25!

As far as I can make out their database is only validating e-mail addresses as I used my own address for more than one delivery and it wasn't queried.

I'll be passing this on to everyone I know as it's a great freebie :)

BTW you can also add extra items (gifts etc and the free P + P is still valid). Will use this to order some bits for Xmas.

If you need a temporary email address then why not use www.mailinator.com.

No need to sign up, just put in the email part of the address: nospam or helpme or whatever you can think of then "@mailinator.com".
When you want to check that email address, just goto mailinator and login using the first part of the address.

All messages are wiped off after about 4 hours.

Very useful when avoiding spam and signing up for these great freebies! ;D

Just a quick note to say that I used the previous free photo's and what a freebie that was!

25 photo's delivered in 24 hours! What a result!
Now to get the next 25!!

PS: Also regarding my previous post about mailinator.com,
don't use anything simple if using for private email or conformation details that may give your private details out, as anyone can see them. For example try and have a look at 1234 and see how many emails there are!!

PPS: I am so glad that I have found this website, a pure joy to read, a pure joy to save and a pure joy that we have really nice people here ;D ;D

CHECK THIS OUT

Have used this loads of time now and it really is brill...and so easy to use...everyone on this site should have a look at it! I've just used it for freebies where only an address and e-mail addy required as I did wonder about how secure the service would be.

Ooooh....... I feel so guilty every time I walk past a CPW shop now...(but not for long ;))

website says that it takes about 30mins to register in album at the moment...... come back later, and when they do, click on your album's name and it'll show you your photos.....

click on the photos to order, and proceed with order- it'll say you have no print credits, but you don't need them - teh grand total on your final page before u confirm your order should be £0.00!!!

oh how I love freebies

Tankgirl,
someone posted this link on the original thread
http://users.aber.ac.uk/sdl/sdl/digital-prints.php

although quite a bit of the info is out of date.

I've had free prints from CPW, digital-lab, BonusPrint and Ofoto. The CPW ones (which utilise Photobox are the best quality IMO), the Ofoto ones are also good - they include one of those reference prints with your photos which show all your other prints in minature (sorry, having trouble remembering the exact name for those things at this time of the morning) ;D

Jolsa

Contact sheet sounds professional, I'll use it! :)

Would be good if there was a more up to date list out there of all the free prints going, anyone know of one ???

Amba_Gambla
06-10-2004, 7:17 PM
you can use this offer time and time again - I've already had 75 prints from them - you just need to vary your address slightly (flat1, flat 2 @ ur address etc) and have a new email address - use www.mailinator.com for your email addresses and problem solved -

unlimited free photos throughout Oct??

PS - my photos arrived today and teh quality is damn good!

you shouldn't - they've screwed me outta soooo much money in the last 9 months - My 'brand new' phone has been in for repair 4 times - it's been in their repair shop longer than I've had it working!!!

thanks very much Amba_Gambla for posting this, ive got to say their service is really ace! unbelievably speedy delivery, and great quality prints, and if you use the simple to use ftp upload facility its a real cinch to get your photos uploaded to their site, as you can select all the images you want to upload in windows explorer then drag and drop them into the ftp window.

*NEWSFLASH*

Ive discovered a way of actually getting 35 (or more!) free prints (legitimately), instead of the standard 25!!! :D

Ok heres how you do it, once you have registered for an account and are signed in, go to the refer a friend page, the link is on the right hand side, on that page you can enter a friends email address (you can enter as many friends addresses as you like) and when you submit the form they will be told all about the site, and if they sign up via your referral they get an extra 10 free prints (they can also use the code for the 25 free prints!) so they can in total get 35 prints free, now the good thing is when they order their batch of free prints the person that referred them, i.e you, also gets an extra 10 free print credits! pretty cool huh? :D

HI,

Just signed up for this. I realise the free prints don't show up in the print credits section but does anyone know if I have to upload photos now (ie before I log off their site) to qualify. I haven't really got any I need printing today (although I'll find some if I have to rather than miss out. LOL.) I understand they get credites once you go through the whole oredering process but will this still work another day?

Thanks

Amanda_Wills
07-10-2004, 2:10 PM
I've just gone through the whole process and have got to the final confirmation page where it says:

"Selecting the Confirm this order button will place your order with us, and your credit card will be charged. Please make sure that you only select this button once, otherwise your credit card may be charged more than one time. It may take up to a minute to charge your card. "

but it still says that I will have to pay £6.25.

Does this mean I won't get my free prints? ???

I know there have been some suggestions about using multiple e-mail addresses to continually get the free prints. Whilst it may work, I would caution against this and note this site does not condone that behaviour. There are terms and conditions to this deal and it is one per household. Getting friends who live elsewhere to get the prints for you is fine, otherwise it could be seen as defrauding the offer.

Is using a friend's address really any better? We all know that what CW mean is that you should get one set of free prints, then pay if you want more. If your friend wants some free prints then fine. But not if they are just going to hand the prints to you.

MSE Martin
07-10-2004, 5:34 PM
I think there is a difference. One is a breach of terms and conditions. The other is asking a friend to use their 'allowance' for you. They cannot then use their allowance - so it is a gift. When these deals are formulated the 'use and leavers' are calculated in.

I see the fact it isn't breaching contract as a fundamental difference

damn it - I tried to milk this offer too much!

Just trying to check my order status and i logged in, but it told me my new account(s) had been suspended because of 'a breach of t&c' .....

they sent me a nice email though!

"Hi

Thanks for your orders. Unfortunately they have been placed using an offer code that has already been used by your household, and as such I have cancelled the orders. You also have more than one account with us, which is in contravention of our terms and conditions, so I have closed all but the first account you registered with us.

Thanks you for your understanding in this matter.

Kind regards

in my opinion yes its a lot easier, give it a go, i think its quicker than the basic html upload form, as thats really fiddly and time consuming. To try out the ftp upload method, If you are using internet explorer, click the upload photos link, then click the ftp link, and you should get an ftp window open up, which basically acts the same as a windows folder/directory, you need to open the temporary upload folder, and drag and drop the images you have selected in windows explorer over to the upload folder, I havent tried their alternative activex/flash/java or whatever it is upload thingy as it didnt work in my browser for some reason, but im pretty sure it couldnt be any better than the simple and efficient ftp process.

In my case even though ive got a 1.5meg cable connection, the upload speed isnt that fast, so uploading 35 pics at 480k each, took a good few minutes.

Amba_Gambla

Aww...are you using the 'standard browser upload' method cos if so it only shows 10 boxes until you click on 'show more boxes' just above the start of the boxes...ignore the charges...they should go in the end and you will be left with a nil balance.

Good luck
