Hi.

Just done this, but it didn`t mention anything about when or if they were going to send the pack out.

Should I assume it will be done automatically?

As OP reported, the link says "Each Passion Pack will contain 2 sizzling novels selected at random", etc. The hyperlink refers to 4 free books. It also suggests that, when you have registered, they "will then send you an email with details of how to claim your books".

Is it 2 books or 4 books, and what else do you have to do to claim whichever number of books it is? (Has anyone had the email?) And what about how the rest is supposed to be received?

hi caseystar thing is that it doesn't tell you how to claim your pack- only says something about 4 free books- there is 2 pages of people here all with same prob' as you dont just sign up and get it and it doesn't say any thing about it when you actually do-so now do you see??

This is the response I just got:

'Dear jo1972

Thank you for registering with www.cosmopolitan.co.uk, welcome to the only
website for Fun Fearless Females!

To claim your free Passion Pack simply click on this link:

http://www.stourvalleyoffers.com/cosmo-passion (http://www.stourvalleyoffers.com/cosmo-passion) and complete the coupon.
You'll pay just 4.45 towards postage, and when you order any of the other
great books we have on offer, you'll automatically receive your passion pack
with your order, without paying any extra for postage, regardless of how many extra titles you buy!'

Did anyone else have to pay postage?

Should have guessed we would either have to pay postage or collect it from a shop.

Yes - this is NOT free!!

When you get and have done the activation link and go in there, part of the message reads:

Just add £4.45 towards postage, regardless of how many additional offers you order. Please note: you’ll automatically receive your FREE Passion Pack with your order.

I'm a bit confused - I registered for the 'free!!' pack yesterday - does this mean that they will automatically send us the 'free' Passion pack and they expect us to pay for p&p????

lofielectronic
17-09-2007, 6:34 PM
Seems quite poorly written. Looks like it might be 'free' if you buy some books if you read this line...

and when you order any of the other
great books we have on offer, you'll automatically receive your passion pack
with your order, without paying any extra for postage, regardless of how many extra titles you buy

But thats still not 'free' is it? least not in my dictionary...

Hi Just filled in the registration and applied for my freebie only to then find out that they want 4.45 p & p. Although considering what you get it's not that bad.

lofielectronic
18-09-2007, 11:05 AM
Don't know if the OP could edit their original post to mention the P&P fee? - I expect lots more people will be signing up before reading the second two pages of this thread and it might save them the dissapointment?

NaomiJane
18-09-2007, 1:33 PM
if this is the case I think everyone should email Cosma and register a complaint.

Secondhand Rose
18-09-2007, 1:41 PM
I had the same £4.45 postage request.

Although the p&p is not unreasonable for what you get, I'm disappointed that Cosmo wasn't up front in telling people about the hidden cost.

I'll be unsubscribing.

I have also wrote an email:

Dear Cosmo

I have just registered for my 'FREE Passion Pack' only to find it is NOT free! How can you advertise that this is free (the word free is even mentioned 5 times) when you then , after getting everyone to register, it then says you have to pay nearly £5.

It does not state that you have to pay:

Free Passion Pack for every reader...
... worth £27, when you register free at cosmopolitan.co.ukWe have lined up the perfect accompaniment to your hot night in! We have a free passion pack for every reader!

Each Passion Pack will contain 2 sizzling novels selected at random, a Free music CD ‘ Mood for Love, containing 18 tracks, 2 sensual oils (one bath and one massage) and a Arran Aromatics Lavender and Geranium Skin Conditioner This is the perfect pack for a night in!

Click here to register and claim your four free books (http://www.cosmopolitan.co.uk/index.php?module=roles&func=register&phase=registerform). We will then send you an email with details of how to claim your books.

I am very disappointed by this and am not going to hand over my card details and pay nearly £5 for something that at first, was thought to be free.

Regards

Nicci

Technically they are allowed to charge postage and still call it a freebie, as long as they don't overcharge on postage.
Depends whether you think £4.45 for 2 books a CD 2 bottles of oil and a bottle of skin stuff is worth it really.

Chocmonster7
19-09-2007, 11:19 AM
I don't think anyone would complain about the postage charge if they were told about it before they signed up and gave them all their details.
