Hi. I'm eventually going to emigrate to Spain and I'm planning in advance ;) I want to have a left hand drive car for over there but am a bit confused about the best way of buying one. I don't want brand new but something about 12 to 18 months old and I have 3 options available to me so...........
1. Search one out in the UK and drive it over
2. Buy in Belgium (I've got family there so shouldn't be a problem)
3. Buy in Spain when I arrive although second hand cars seem to be quite expensive there
Has anyone done this or researched it in the past. I'm really looking at which would be the cheapest option so any info would be gratefully received

There is a LHD dealer in Classic and sportscar mag every month.

If you buy in the UK the take it to Spain you will need to re register it on Spanish plates........and I can tell you thats going to be a right painful process.
Have a look at this thread

Thanks Mervyn11 but I'm not too worried about that - I've got a friend in Spain who's already promised to sort it out for me if I go down that route and the costs he quoted were nothing like the ones in the link thank goodness! ;)

Buy a new one in Spain, better than buying SH in Spain, full warranty etc. etc.
