help with Nissan key fob

Hi, sorry if this is not in the right forum....

My mum has a 03 reg Nissan Almera and the fob doesn't lock / unlock her car. Does this key have a battery inside?

It worked yesterday but not now ?? :confused:

I have a kia and sometimes I have to lock or unlock the car with the key to 'persuade' the remote to work properly again - this appears to hapen intermittently.

Yes they do, my battery is a CR2025 if thats any help, I have a 51 reg Almera

I've had an 04 almera for a few weeks now, and one time I had the same problem. I tried putting the key in the ignition and turning it so the lights came on, and that seemed to do the trick.... ie, it must have reset the key somehow. It's not necessarily that the battery has run out, although of course that could be the problem.
