Hi everyone

I'm trying to do my money saving bit for the environment and have resisted, until now, to switch to environmentally-friendly toiletries as they tend to be quite expensive or don't work. I've been persuaded that things have improved and the products do work but i'm still stuck on the price. So if anyone has any eco-toiletries they use, that do what they're supposed to and are reasonably priced, please let me know.

I'm aiming to avoid sodium laurel sulphate, parabens and petro-chemicals, I'm not bothered if they're organic or not, as unless it's soil association certified it doesn't mean a whole lot in the world of toiletries/cosmetics.

I'm particularly after skin care for combination skin and products for hair that can protect it from straighteners and wax for texture and messing up my 'do.

Thanks

TDB

I love Tesco's BNatural's skin brightening cleanser, which is around the 3.50 mark.

Most of the supermarkets seem to have released natural/organic ranges which are very reasonably priced and some are Soil Association approved. You might want to have a look at this article from earlier in the year from the Telegraph to see who does what:

The Waitrose Umi Vanilla & Brown Sugar Bath Grains are gorgeous - they smell just like Lush's Honey I Washed the Kids.
