NCP are sending out replacement season tickets to all their long term car park ticket holders, BUT oh dear, accidentally, due to a "system glitch" the expiry date of your ticket has been brought FORWARD!!!!! When you phone to point this out they say really? and then say that a computer error (great to be able to blame technology) has been cutting short the expiry dates on their season tickets. However, they will not issue a further replacement unless you phone them - they have not publicised the error, so check your expiry date on your new season ticket. Is it what you were expecting????? Probably not!! Sounds a bit dodge to me.

Anyone else noticed this?

The clocks on their parking machines also seem to be an hour out

This is despicable behaviour but why should they care, people have to use their car park so why bother with customer service? There are so many similar industries who know they'll have demand regardless of customer satisfaction so there's no incentive to play fair

I do hope you contacted Trading Standards about this... they have the power to act if enough people complain, well, you'd hope so! :D

NCP now has a new computer system which makes it even worse than before for season ticket holders. They now will not issue any tickets without at least six working days' notice, even for renewals. In spite of phoning 6 working days before I am still waiting for mine and it is now 2 weeks into its 4 week validity period. When I rang up last week they told me it was because of "a problem with the computer". Today I can't get through on the phone but they tell me by email that I haven't paid my invoice. I haven't received an invoice - nor am I expecting one. They hold my credit card details on file and when I rang up to renew I was told they would debit my card. Their staff seem quite clueless. I am very nervous about any third party holding my card details, and even more nervous when it is NCP, who don't seem to know what they are doing. Unfortunately as they have a monopoly on rail carparks I have no choice but to use them, and they know it.

I have spoken to NCP again today and they now tell me they do not hold any card details "for security reasons". This is not what the girl told me when I rang up to renew, and in fact they definitely had them in the past because I remember being surprised and somewhat dismayed about it! It must be their new systems again. I only hope now they send the ticket to the right address. They have messed that up before as well.
