Ive recently bought this car as have been looking for one for ages, they are obviosly troublesome cars hence why there is hardly any left, i need a trustworthy mechanic in North london, or essex to check out some problems, the main thing is the battery light stays on

Mechanically these are basically the same as the fiat saloons so any normal garage will be able to work on it.

Bodywork is slightly different, these car rust in some very interesting ways (but are a real hoot to drive)

What do the say, mid engined sports car for the price of a pint

great cars. i have had five over the years. a lot easier to work on than people think. pity you are so far away, i love working on them! last one i had was a M reg 1994. yes true, sat in a dealer for 5 years before registered. had 7000 miles on the clock when a bought it. 17000 when i sold it for £4500. book price was £750! wish i had still got it.

As tali says i would find an owners club website, there is loads of info. on these type of sites.

The main problem as someone else said is rust,i hope you have bought a good one, engine work could be done by any decent mechanic but the owners club may lead you to a specialist who will know the ins and outs of these cars.Nearly bought one myself when they first came out.
