Their new EP, God Save the Manics, being released on 20 April will be downloadable from their website here (http://www.manics.co.uk/04/).

From the site:

"Manic Street Preachers will make their ‘God Save The Manics’ EP available as a free download from April 20th. The EP includes three brand new previously unreleased songs. The confirmed tracklisting is as follows…"

Bump - don't forget it's available from today, just got mine.
It's a 14.5MB windows Media Player file. On firefox it makes you play it rather than save, so you will have to find it in your temp folders in windows.

Nice one thanks OP.

I managed to download it using Firefox (latest version) - it just saved it to desktop. Maybe its your settings Chuffy?

On firefox it makes you play it rather than save, so you will have to find it in your temp folders in windows.my firefox browser offered me the choice to either open it or save it to a download location, so it appears you can save it in firefox without any messing about.

yes, nothing wrong with firefox, I just think it dowdloaded that fast, the download window never opened. I found 2 versions on my desktop when I closed my browser window.

Not sure, it does state the following on their website though
Please Note: this download is DRM protected content and requires Windows Media Player 9 on Windows 98/2000/XP in order to play. This download is not MAC or NT compatible.
Not tried it myself though.

I tried this out, but didn't seem to work on a Mac, anyone any ideas

BUT...

:-( The Manics' website appears to be down at the moment. Is it just me, or is anyone else having problems connecting?
