Advanced driving info req please?

I am looking for some info on the advanced driving course and what it entails. I remember reading somewhere there were two organisations but I am having trouble finding the information. It is for a present for my other half and I am hopeing someone can point me in the right direction as to which is the best to go with.

I'm an observer with the IAM. Our group (Bolton) charges £85.00 for the course and also does a cashback scheme for when you pass. You usually go out on a Sunday morning for about 1 1/2 with a trained observer and they don't charge you. It's all voluntary wich I think makes it really good value for money as usually you have aproximately 12 runs before you do your test but if you're ready sooner or if you need more practice then it's still the same price.
