Does anyone know where the cheapest place to get engine oil and antifreeze/coolant from is? I need both desperately but I'm skint. Cheers.

Cheap oil is generally crap and will give you problems with the car in the future. Dont buy the cheapest get something which is reasonable.

Cheapest oil is about as good as water.

Thanks, I probably should have phrased it better. I wasn't looking for cheap brand oil itself, rather cheaper branded oil. I generally use GTX Magnetec 5W/30 but I've noticed the price of 5ltrs varies greatly from place to place.

Try looking in your Yellow Pages for a local motor factors. The larger national ones like Partco are usually pretty cheap.

I can't remember if Partco use their own brand consumables or not, but if they do their own brand is usually pretty good stuff.
