All you need to do is sign up and on special events like Birthdays, Christmas and of course St Patricks day they will send you a gimick.
So far my collection is worth £15 and thats just signing up about 18 months ago!!!

I've been getting all the free stuff for the past 3 years or so but I don't know whether signing up guarentees it as a couple of friends of mine signed up about a year or so ago but don't get anything whereas they send me everything! :o

Is that because you always buy or order Guinness? :D

I can confirm its definitely woth registering with Guiness as you do get all sorts through the post ( )

As well as the above i have had an inflatable referee to punch during football matches, and inflatable hat with holders for four pints of guiness (wtf?? :D )
and a mini paddling pool - just the right size to stand a can/pint in.

Also if you get on Gordon's Gin mailing list - they send out some great freebies too, here's the link:

Guinness haven't send me anything for AGES, I just sent them a bit of a cheeky email in the hope that I'll get back in their good books.

cheers for the gin link, nothing like a gin freebie to impress the lasses.

I registered at least 18 months ago and never received a single think apart from junk emails.

I mentioned chance of freebies to a friend who registered shortly after me an they have received a harmonica and the little paddling pool and probably other things they are too scared to tell me about.

I will try registering again - heres hoping - fingers crossed etc.

That's the funny thing, I never ever buy the stuff whereas my friend buys it all the time so I don't think they do that good a job of picking deserving people to send stuff too! :D I hope you get lucky and they send you some nice stuff! :)

Thanks for the reminder, I signed up a few years ago and got stuff like a Christmas stocking (black, naturally) and a cap. I haven't had anything in the last few years :( I checked my profile and I'd opted out of receiving offers via post. Opted in now, so here's hoping the freebies come rolling in..

It'd be useful for someone to post the next time they get a Guinness freebie, if I don't get it I might email em see if theres any chance of getting them

It's probably part of their marketing strategy. If they can see (through their CRM system) that a person is buying their product, they don't need to bombard them with freebie gimmicks (they obviously do need to keep them as a customer though, so maybe they give them a discount when they buy?). If someone is not buying, maybe that is when they send the freebies, to prompt them into becoming an established customer?

On the forms I filled in, I put in the 'middle option', rather than "no I never drink it" or "yes, I drink it all the time" - I think they're more likely to market to people who could become regular customers/drinkers.

Thanks for the links though - could come in handy for stocking fillers!
