Last Christmas, Father Christmas brought me a TENS machine which I used for the first time last night, for a sports injury/thigh strain.

If you're reluctant to take analgesics and wondered if a TENS machine is any good, I found it to be effective.

When I drove home from my sporting event, I was struggling to get out of the car and then walking upstairs was slow and painful.

The TENS machine reduced the aches and pains sufficiently to allow me to sleep. I can recommend it.

This morning, my leg/thigh is a bit achey but much better.

The only time I've used one was in labour, but it worked brilliantly - until the batteries ran out (stop-start baby!) If you want to try one out before spending money on one, see if you can hire one.
