Looking for advice folks.

Im expecting my car to be written of tomorrow.
To me, it's worth 3K. :-)
Which means I'll be offered nearer 2K.
BMW 520i 1997 "R" 118K on the clock.
Runs sweet as a nut but the massive dent in the side says otherwise.

I know not to accept the 1st offer from the insurance co. but what happens next?
What's the best way to respond etc etc?

Just trying to 2nd guess them in advance.
Any tips would be appreciated, many thx.

Have a look on www.autotrader.co.uk and see how much similar models are selling for. That way, you can get try and get them to increase the price. they may ask you to send in proof so you may need to print out the ads and post them. If the car has a Full Dealer Service History, that might be a good way to get a bit more. Also, if the car has many optionl extras fitted, tell them as they may add a bit again. Any receipts for money recently spent is good too .... eg. tyres etc.

Personally, I think they will offer you more than 2k. My dad has a 1998 S 528i with 140k on the clock and I'm sure its worth over 4k so I cant see why your car woudl only be worth half of that.
