Having just started to use the Liz Earle stuff, which is excellent, a quick google search found this...

Edit: Well this is an interesting site. Found this:

I think I will forget the sheep placenta and bull semen and combine Liz Earle and my b/f's instead!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :j :j

Well, I've took the plunge and purchased:
the cleanser
radiance mask
beauty boost balm
eye cream
all seem very good so far! And not a huge expense either. Recommended :)
But is it the same as Liz Earle?

But is it the same as Liz Earle?
Well it certainly matches the quality of Liz Earle at a fraction of the price. And the added bonus is it dosen't contain parabens, which certain Liz Earle products contain, so it's worth a try on those grounds.

Does anyone know if they have the Tesco cruelty free symbol, the little bunny?

hmm maybe that's where the products are lacking.. I couldn't see it on any of the items I bought. Write to Tesco and ask them direct.

OK...I hit a big Tesco's today. Bf looked at the tellys as I told him I would be a long time.
BTW I purchased some samples for him from Liz Earle, but he hasn't bothered to use them. Men,eh?
Items purchased and they are reduced by a quid at the moment:
Skin Brightener cleanser... 2.69...150ml... ( this is the substitute for Liz's C&P )... Well, you cannot use it to remove your eye makeup...2.79...150ml...they do a separate Gentle eye make-up remover. Expensive as it's much cheaper to use wipes from home bargains ( yep...tesco's do these in same range....but they don't remove eye make up )
Muslim cloths and other accessories appear to be a rip off...
Revitalising toner...2.79...contains Alcohol Denat....no idea if this is alcohol as in Clinique's toners...
Intense recovery mask...2.79....75ml...couldn't see an item described as moisturiser,so I'm presuming this is it...
Eye cream...3.99...15ml...I have never used eye cream, but I will give this a go.
Brightening shower scrub and toning shower wash...2.89 each...250ml...I have noticed they both contain sodium laureth sulfrate...Liz's orange blossom doesn't...
Intensive body cream...2.59...150ml...haven't use Liz's, so can't compare...
Organic handwash...2.29...250ml...I needed some more anyway.
Total: 25.71
A lot more products for the money...but do they work?
One thing I do know, I forgot to use the C&P this morning and used Simple as I've some left....I noticed a big difference.

I must admit to getting pretty obsessed about all this organic stuff now.
Having done some research on SLS and alcohol denat. I'm not so sure the bNatural range is all that natural! I'm not going to take any of the products back, but I'm definitely not going to use the toner.
The body cream...perhaps I should have gone for the butter cream?...is very heavy and the texture reminds me of the big tubs of aqueous cream you get in the pharmacy.
Haven't used the shower products yet.
I'm going to stick with Liz Earle.
I found this link too which looks interesting:
http://www.organicbotanics.com/index.htm
Jammygal - I don't know, but if you email/phone them up, I'm sure they will tell you.
One thing I do know Liz Earle's staff are very helpful. I suppose you get what you pay for.

"Having done some research on SLS and alcohol denat. I'm not so sure the bNatural range is all that natural! I'm not going to take any of the products back, but I'm definitely not going to use the toner."
I suggest if you think Liz Earle is "Organic and Natural" researching these
as the range contains them.
Phenoxethanol,Methylisothiazolinone an irritant and only reccomended for rise off products,Methylparaben,Propylene Glycol,Cetyl Alchohol,Parfum.
You might be suprised!
I also think it is a little dishonest to glorify all the good ingredients on the Liz Earle website yet conveintly choose to omit the bad ones.

Yes you do get what you pay for indeed, but Tesco's new range is good.
There are many of the Liz Earle products I don't like, so even if I replace those with Tesco products I'll be happy.
I don't think anything is pure ect as we might think or shops might have us believe, but I always try to keep stuff I use as natural as my purse will allow, and that's a positive for Tesco.

Agreed! And I will research those chemicals. Quite a fascinating subject. Thanks again.

Bought the cleanser last night. I have a chemistry degree and have seen the list of ingredients of some so called natural stuff and the Tesco range is more natural than most especially for having essential oils in it. I asked a member of staff and they told me their products aren't tested on animals but they use ingredients from a safe list that in the past may have been tested by another company.

Hi , I have used Liz Earle for years now, but due to ahveing a new baby , we are trying to save money so i thought i'd give the tesco's range a try , especially as they are also on special offer at the moment.
Well I have used the skin brightening cleanser tonight, and i am really impressed. Admitedly its not as thick as the liz earle one, but i like the smell better as i love geranium oil and it smells of this i think. I also bought the radiance mask and really liked that too.
I am going to get some of the other range whilst its on speciall offer.

The Sanctuary Covent Garden have also brought out their own range of C&P: http://www.thesanctuary.co.uk/Perfectly_Polished_Hot_Cloth_Cleanser.htm
It doesn't smell as nice and the muslin cloth isn't of very good quality.
I find a big difference (and not in a good way) when I come off C&P and try other things. I will be sticking with it.

I got the Sanctuary cleanser and it brought my skin out in a rash - thankfully I'd used the Sunday Times free product voucher and hadn't paid £10 for it!

Tescos jumping on the organic bandwagon and squeezing out the little people!
I'm going to stick to shopping with small companies who really care about what they sell and where you know the ingredients and who are ethical. Try this company http://www.oliveorganic.com

Been using the Tesco's stuff for a week now and my skin is definitely brighter. Although only using one press of the pump in the morning and at night's worth of cleanser I have noticed I've used about quarter of the bottle since the 2nd.

Great website, good looking/sounding products, but again the prices can be a crippler to many people on a budget.

Ive just started using the Tesco bnatural range and it is divine, the smell and consistency are fab and it has no parabens etc in it.I would also like to support smaller companies but because im on a tight budget i find them overpriced,so i will stick to the Tesco range, which is just as good if not better

My skin just glows, not really sure how to explain it. Don't need as much make up to make me look passable first thing in the morning! :p

Update on Liz Earle and Tesco.
I'm finding the Liz Earle C&P much better than Tesco. I'm alternating at the moment to use the Tesco C&P up. And their eye makeup remover doesn't half sting my eyes, so I've stopped using it.

Dont know ive never used L.E.but they are cheaper.
Hi everyone,
I love Liz Earl C&P but found a cheaper alternative to muslin cloths. I have a 6mth old and lots of muslin squares from Mothercare. One night I didn't have any clean LE cloths so I used one of Mothercare ones and it was just as good. They are huge so I cut it in 4. Much cheaper but just as effective.:T

If you go to a fabric shop you'll be able to get about a metre of muslin (loads) for about half the price of one of those cloths....;)

I have been using several of the B Natural products for a couple of months now and love them. I have sensitive skin and usually come out in either spots or dry patches with most skin products, but no problems with these - what a relief to find something so good that isn't expensive. Can really recommend the eye cream (doesn't sting your eyes or make your mascara run), the blueberry exfoliator, the soaps (I only use these on the body) and the hand and body creams.
Haven't tried the muslin cloths yet but will have a go with them.
