Hey hey.

I don't speed. (Just want to get that clear before people judge me on the post)

I did however find an advertisement in the Times today which was interesting:
http://www.drivershandbook.co.uk/

For a book that claims it can get you off:
parking tickets
speeding fines
other traffic fines
points off your license
etc etc etc etc

Like anyone I'm skeptical. However, they are advertising a "90 day moneyback" thing where without obligation, and for any reason, you can send the book back and get a FULL refund without questions :S As well as this when ordering you get another book on how to get a used car but with loads of hints and tips etc etc...

As I said, I don't speed, but in the times quotes from other media sources say things like its a great resource to have, and there's testimonials etc

Usually I don't believe these on random websites (inc this website as it aint that professional!) but if its in the times and also someone from FHM and The Mirror gave quotes, then it could be actually quite useful?

Anyone have any thoughts before I spend £20?

Utter rubbish if you ask me. This kind of stuff is advertised in the motoring press every week.

It will a mix of "bloke in the pub" anecdotes and information gleaned from websites. Might make interesting reading but about as useful as "Make millions from fruit machines". ;)

i dont understand how they can make such wild holy grail claims for many years and get away with it -it seems illegal

If it the one written by an ex copper it is OK, lots of common sense points and useful info. However, I borrowed a book like that from a friend, would I buy it? Probably not, at least not at the price they want for it. Have a look on Ebay/Amazon to see if there is a second hand copy if you still want it.

if it is the book i think it is , it is written by an ex traffic cop.
it gives tips on traffic law and loopholes (ie:if the police do not follow proper proceedure when they stop u)
people i know who have the book, swear it is invaluable
the choice is yours
