does anyone know what a rocker cover is? i haev sold a car and he is kicking off saying it will cost £400 to get fixed i only sold the car for £300 without a mot

Did you sell it as sold as seen and gave him a reciept if so I can't see what he can do!! as to the rocker cover which is a type of metal shell that sits on top of the cylinder head covering the tappets and valves etc.If it's just leaking oil just need to replace tha gasket not the most difficult of jobs.hope this helps

fixed the rocker cover gasket on my daughters mini, cost me £3 and 10 minutes of my time !!

He new when he bought it there was no mot or tax no reciept though

Tell him that you informed him there was problems with the car hence no mot so it is basically a non-runner/not road worthy until repair work has been carried out.

as they say 'buyers beware'
