Hi
Today I got a parking ticket, Hands up I was seven minuets late back to the car. The problem I have is that it cost 40 pence to park for and hour but the ticket cost £80 or £40 if paid quickly.

Does anyone else think this is excessive, does anyone know if there is legislation on how much local councils can charge, do they have to be in line with cost like the banks.

ITS TIME WE STOOD UP TO THE BULLYING COUNCILS WHO CHARGE THESE REDICULOUS CHARGES..

Martin lewis if you see this :money: start a campain against these unfiar tickets.

Round the back of my town centre it would cost circa £300 if you parked wrongly.

I don't think there are any restrictions in place as to fee amounts

Where do you live? 40p for an hour sounds really good value! Round here you are looking at 80 per hour!

I dont think there is restrictions on the fines - have you checked out Pepipoo ? though I think its more to do with speeding

If you were in the wrong and admit it then you may be aswell paying up unless you have a good reason not to
