Hi all,
Opened an online HSBC svings account via MSE in Dec, to get the £20 John Lewis Vouchers, and deposited £500.
There is no tie in for the account, but I have been experiencing problems with the website.
I set up all the security details via a phone number, and was told this was the only time i could deal with the phone number as it was online.
I entered my security details onto the log in page, and had message "sorry incorrect details, try again later". I did call the number again, and confirmed te details, which were correct.
2nd attempt at on line log in, got the same "incorrect details" message.
Went into a branch and confirmed details and re-entered them all to make sure they were same.
3rd attempt at on line log in, got same "incorrect details" message again.
Went back into the branch to re-confirm details again.
4th attempt at on line log in- You guessed it! "Incorrect details etc"
Now, i'm not generally simple, and am able to use a computer. I also do online banking with other banks sucessfully, so I can't see why HSBC has to be so infuriatingly difficult.
Does anyone have advice? Should i go down to the branch and kick off and demand they close account? (I would rather have my cash where i can access it!)
