Hi all,

This is my 1st post so I hope to get it right.

My car is currently in a Ford main dealer the problem is that the car does not run properly when cold.

To be honest I do not think they know how to fix it but the bill has now risen to over £800.

They just keep trying different this and even fitted a new part at £160 + vat but that did nothing.

I am now considering taking it to another repairers as I now have no confidence in the Ford garage.

So they are going to bill me for the full costs but the car will come out be excactly the same as it went in.

Yet I am lead to believe these people are the experts charging nearly £60 / hour.

Should I have to pay for no results.

Help and advice need asap

I would refuse to pay this bill until the problem has been sorted out to your satisfaction.

I obviously do not know the circumstances involved but they should not be fitting parts you do not need.

I would contact the dealer principal and if you get no joy, Ford themselves. It is up to the garage to rectify the fault and i would not take the car to another dealer unless this dealer admitted defeat and charged me nothing.

I once had problem that a toyota dealer took nearly a week to sort out ,i paid what i considered a fair price, not a weeks labour or anything like it!!toyota themselves even paid half towards the parts that had to be replaced,as the car had very low mileage. It was not under warranty, they did it as a goodwill gesture.
