These have nothing to do with the BBC ones, so list grows larger of these bands....

Good freebie and all that but isnt the point of all these wristbands giving stuff to charity?

Thanks ordered mine, interesting to see if it turns up??

Looks like a click to earn site, where the site owner receives commision from all the newsletter sites and then a bigger payout if you subscribe to another site at the end?

I still ordered one.
Thanks for the post

I think you will find that most of the bands are about awareness rather then raising money, if people stand up to bullying then hopefully things will change.

Its like the testicular cancer badges, its more of a reminder to men to check themselves, likewise for the breast cancer badges. Otherwise they wouldnt bother making badges you would just donate and that would be it.

Hi there, sorry if this a bit late, I haven't been on here for a while.
I have ordered the pink breast cancer awareness bands directly off their website. There is a minimum order of 5 I think and there were a pound each. They are taking around 6 weeks to deliver though due to high demand.
I just put breast cancer UK and wristband into a search engine to get the address.
Hope this helps!

Just to add to the above posts, Breast Cancer care 'has to date not received any money from the sale of wrist bands on ebay'. As someone who is a passionate supporter of cancer charities (and I actually do want one of these to wear to raise awareness, but want my ££ to go to the charities concerned), I am saddened that people are selling these and not passing anything on to charities.

I totally take on board the 'raising awareness' element of the bands, which I wholeheartedly applaud, but surely if this awareness-raising can co-exist with fund-raising, then all to the better?

I'll get off my soap box now.

i bought mine from ebay, purely because i didnt know where else to get one. Also, why would anyone want 5? i have had so many people comment on mine which is great as i am doing a 14 mile walk for breast cancer awareness in the summer so i guess they will get my money then.

Point you all out to this thread.

If you didn't complete the offer the Company is not paid ! We don't own that beat the bully site they are one of advertisers.

If you do complete this we are paid to pay you. Isn't this the world of business ? Like every banner you see on most sites, its advertising & the advertiser choices who to advertise with to get people involved with there site / offer.

They are not linked. (Depends what you meant though) Just a Company that wanted to be advertised & they advertised with Sweet Collect as well as other sites i'm sure.

But as you say its free. Your not forced to take up the offer & its how the world goes round.

These wristband freebies, though possibly supplied with good intentions (though I'm very dubious), are from my recent experience usually worn as fashion statements by individuals and attention-seeking "celebrities" who know sweet FA about the cause its promoting - a bit like many red ribbons wearers of the nineties.

Put your hands in your pockets and get something genuine and direct from the established charity (e.g.Make Poverty History white wristband; pink breast cancer awareness bands; etc); join in their events and activities, rather than complain about a free wristband not yet being delivered.

There is a catch to this though, you have to 'earn' enough points to get one by registering for a number of newsletters.

I received this link when I registered to pass on to friends & family

http://www.beatthebully.net/index.php?ref= (http://www.beatthebully.net/index.php?ref)

I think the non-referral link would be

http://www.beatthebully.net
