Really need info asap! importing a used bike from the US

A race bike on ebay, in the US will ship to the UK but what do i need to know with tax, insurance, import, shipping? how much am i looking at in total do you think? and how long in the shortest time frame to get it here to the uk? racing season starts in just a few wks, unfortunatly the bike we had hoped to get a brand new 2007 tz was cancelled due to mechanical problems in making them. please soon as possible thank you heaps in advance x

air shipping can be 3-7 days , by boat about 4-6 weeks

at a guess id imagine it will be approx 30% plus a collection fee form the shipping company

some people might ask the seller to mark it as a lower value ;) but thats up to you

you will probably get a more accurate anwser on the ebay board on here, and customs have a website , duty varies on differant items
