is anybody having any luck with the free phones from o2? I got emails saying they were on the way then got emails saying they were out of stock, so have o2 realised there may have been a mistake? O r will they genuinley send them when they get more stock?

same here martin! At least you can now view your account and check as this was not possible before. I suspect they have stumbled upon it as my account says about it being provisonally checked but then failing so i bet they are working out what excuse to give .

With all the dopes (sorry but come on it was obviously a scam) who rang up customer services to see if they were getting their phones, O2 caught on pretty quick. You can't give things to some people can you!!!!

well actually to call people dopes is very unfair. the orders were compiled on the official o2 website and official emails have been sent to us from o2 to say that these phones are being dispatched. If they dont supply the goods, I believe that there could be a case against o2 for providing false information.

I know sorry didn't mean to offend, but was first word that came to my head. But you didnt order legitimately from o2 as you were using a cached page, so it wasnt a proper transaction and o2 don't have to honour it all, I think someone else mentioned that o2 said it was fraud to order them. My point was that when something is obviously dodgey people shouldn't really highlight the fact to the company as you could then stand the chance of losing the item.

I had a phone call about an hour ago from a friend who ordered one of these phones on Saturday.
He recieved the confirmed order, out of stock, dispatched emails. Then a letter this morning to confirm his phone would be delivered today.
An hour later his phone arrived with an invoice enclosed showing his balance as £0.00.

Wondering, because I missed a parcel being delivered on Tues a.m.,
and have to collect from Sorting Office now, and I don't know what it is!
Have to wait 48 hours.!

So, I guess the phones are on the way when new stock arrives in. Just have to wait for a nice surprise then.

makinprogress-why do you have to wait 48 hours? that must be a massive round that your postman has, or he keeps stopping for a brew-lol. If we miss a delivery, we can go to the sorting office the next morning and pick it up.

i have just called o2 customer services and after being given the runaround and 5 calls to the right department i was told that when the phone was in stock i would recieve one but when i asked further about the fault with pricing online the advisor said they would not honour the orders but the one i ordered was simply out of stock and when they are back in stock i would recieve it. obviously they are trying to fob me off as the phone i ordered (LG L343i ) was priced at 0.00 so basically it's a waiting game and i'll keep checking that order. by the way the phone number to enquire about this is:
0870 567 8678 just press star button if u don't have an o2 number.

I have got home this evening and I have received a card from DHL saying they tried to deliver a pracle today .......... Looks like I is one of the lucky ones :)
I ordered one but arranged for deliver on the 2.2.07, so looks like my order was put on the shelf as it was not for immidiate deliver, now its back in stock :)
