Hi

Looking for a bit of advice......again:) I am interested in buying a Kia Picanto but just do not know where to start! I have a wee banger at the moment and have never had finance for a car. Am I better to buy a second hand one or a new one? I have forked out loads on my old car the past 2 years and the thought of not having to worry about an MOT for a couple of years sounds glorious:p

Also, where would be the best place to start to look for one of these in Scotland, I am in the Lanarkshire area? Am I better trying to get a loan from my bank or from the dealer?

*groan* It is all giving me a headache just thinking about it

Thanx hugs
Cazza

Have a look at motorpoint HERE (http://www.motorpoint.co.uk/(S(4tqmtuumhinxd0nnbdjpij55))/Search/GroupResults.aspx?make=Kia&model=Picanto&type=0) from £5,999. I imagine these are pre-registered.

Drivethedeal have the chapest one from £5,778 +/- or the 1.1LX for £7,545.

That will give you a start.

Picanto is a very good small car, one I've often recommended, but as you'll soon find out, not hefty discounts, or lots of dealers around.

BUT.... have you looked at new model Punto? Bigger car, plenty of dealers in Scotland - & a good Fiat following up there too - it's starting to become more available & represents good savings, on nearly new models, if you look around.

Pandas are getting more evident, too, but not much discount on new prices.

Check http://www.honestjohn.co.uk clik on This Weeks Best Deals, on the listings, on the right of his site. GENUINE prices, of ALL makes. Then get your local dealer to price match or beat!!

Or how about a Fiat Panda...I have just given my daughter one for her birthday which I drove for 6 months and I have another one arriving this week. (neither were new)

Not sure about where's cheapest in Scotland but the best way of getting a discount on a Picanto is to Google it... really. A lot of Kia dealers advertise their deals online and brokers are usually slightly more expensive. drivethedeal.com is usually one of the more competitive.

For Fiat, try http://www.fiatsupasaver.com

As for where to get the finance from, try http://www.moneysupermarket.com/loans

It's unlikely that the dealer finance will be chepaer but at least you have a reference point.

Hi,
I've seen KIA adverts for Picantos for £4650 new. Try contacting your local dealer or KIA direct. Think there is a new face-lift model coming out soon might be the reason for the offer.
