View Full Version : Anyway to meet the cost of medical testing overseas for Autism

My son has to have tests from several US labs including Doctors Data and Great Plains. He has autism and many unusual medical issues connected to strange mineral levels, failure to absorb nutrients, high lead levels, terrible aggression that is linked to amino acids (high glutamate) and so on. He's a money pit ,in short. He is responding very well to treatment but wow it's costing in supplements, testing, not to mention tools for therapy and so on.

I wondered if anyone else was finding a clever way to meet the costs of these tests and supplements. I know there are thousands of parents now following biomedical treatment for autism but wonder how on earth they're affording it. We're about £20k lighter after two years of treating!

Thanks
