Hiya
I enquired at my dentists today about having my front teeth straightened. I had braces fitted when i was about 15 and work carried on till 17. Whilst it gave my teeth more room at the back and slightly helped the front, my 2 front teeth have stayed at a funny agle (in fact its just one that slants backwards).
My dentist said they refer to an orthodentist across the road and I would havt pay £75 for a consultation. I currently don't pay for work but I do know this type of work (cosmetic in fact) would have to be private.
Has anyone done this and how does it work? I know i pay for the consultation and he can then give me an idea of whats possible, do you pay as you go along? Has anyone had this type of work this way if so how much could i be looking at? I am thinking around £2k? maybe more?
Also would it be better if i go on a dental plan? Would there be any benefits through one of these? Or would it not help out if the work was technically uncessary?
TIA
