Before i ask the question may i say that i am not asking specifically about a health issue.

A friend of mine has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and has had the lump out and is waiting on treatment. She mailed me this morning and asked me if i had heard of blue/green algae for breast cancer. I have never heard of this but i think we tend to research and research s much as we can when something such as this strikes.

So has anyone heard of this and if so does any member have any links? i did google but i couldn't find anything significant. Your help would be really appreciated here. If this does go against any rule please feel free to PM me Thanks in advance :A

Blue-Green Algae as an Immuno-Enhancer and Biomodulator (http://gopalshealthfoods.com/Blue-Green_Algae.pdf) has one paragraph mentioning the possibility of a potential benefit but it's far too little evidence for all the hype on the internet.

I think your time would be better spent asking her consultant if he's seen
Cancer survival is dependent on season of diagnosis and sunlight exposure. (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=pubmed&cmd=Retrieve&dopt=AbstractPlus&list_uids=16671100&query_hl=51&itool=pubmed_docsum) and asking if using high strength vitamin d3 cholecalciferol would interfere with the chemo.?

If he says it would, ask whether a sunshine holiday or sunbed use would be OK?
