Hi
I had a filling yestaerday, and now when i bite down none of my teeth touch as they did before (if that makes sense) basically the filling has seemed to stop me biting down fully, is this normal? it's doing me nut in! :o
It hasnt gone grey yet if that makes any difference:confused:

I have had the same problem and until you suffer it you wouldn't know how bl@@dy infuriating it is.

You need to go back and explain the problem to the idiot dentist that did the work.

I sometimes wonder where they buy their qualifications from.

I had this too and I thought it was just because my mouth still felt a bit numb? It may go away, mines did :)

Bit harsh.

The mouth is sensitive to differences of 100th mm. Do you work to that degree of accuracy every day?

It just happens every now and again that it's not quite right first time.

It could even have been caused by a tiny bit of excess filling material floating around your mouth somewhere getting stuck on the finished filling and so creating a high spot that way. (If that happens - that is the sort of high spot that breaks off after a day or two and then feels OK again).

Either way, go back and it's a 2 min job to put it right.

Which tooth is it on?

I had two fillings a couple of months ago and for the first couple of days whenever I bit my back teeth wouldn't completely "fit together" but as it was a weekend I couldn't contact the dentist.

By the Monday morning it had worn down slightly and now my bite is normal.

It;s the back bottom left tooth, the one before the wisdom tooth.

It can occasionally settle by itself as the bite will readjust it and teeth can overerupt or intrude slightly to compensate but if it still feels funny after the weekend, I would go back and have it adjusted. Literally takes two minutes
