I am seriously thinking of having a bust reduction. something I have thought about since I was 19. I am now 33. I will definetly have one In the next couple of years. question is. where do I start. How do I find a good reliable surgen and how much do I need to save. Is there anyone out there that has had this surgery could u please give me some advice.

I would have thought that your GP could advise. For some, breast reduction is available through NHS funding, so your GP may know of private Consultants in your area, through work done for the NHS.
HTH
I wouldnt consider doing anything until you have been to the GP.

I suggest you look at the breasthealthonline.org site. This has a UK forum and gives lots of help and advice. I found it very helpful and reassuring. If you want to pm me then feel free.

Sorry, just came across your message during a bored moment (never usually in this site) however, the good news is I HAVE HAD A REDUCTION!!!! Anything you want to know just ask (my home email address is mags444@blueyonder.co.uk) probably best to do it this way rather than through Money Saving Expert!

Why? Is it not sound advice, likely to be useful to all who are interested?
I would always be suspicious of any "secret" advice.

Sorry you feel I'm being underhand, that's simply not the case. I remember seeing a message saying that this website was not to be used as a chat room about one's experiences but to stick to money saving ideas, so I decided to put my personal email address in so that girls who genuinely wanted to ask what it was like could do so. Sorry, I'll not bother helping in the future!

No need to get the hump:D
You could have explained in your first post. But try to take a step back, will you?
It looked as if you had some "underhand" solution. You could have had some vested interest e.g. as a back-street plastic surgeon.
If you can offer legitimate general advice, without trying to give a medical solution, then you should do so. Whilst I understand the comment about only giving Money Saving advice, this wasn't primarily a Money Saving question - it was a "Where do I start" question. If you've had personal experience, then I don't think there would be any objection to you posting a "this is what I did" post.
What you musn't do is to try and guide the poster down a particular route, where the question is health-related. One needs to be qualified to do that AND actually see the patient ... which is only common sense, really.

I've just re read my original post. It was way back in March. I'd forgot wot I'd put. I did go to see my GP and she wrote to the plastic surgen. about a month back she rang to say they were clamping down on giving surgery to people unless it caused phycological problems. typical bloke. he dosn't have to carry them round with him 24/7. Anyway she was going to write another letter just to see if he would see me but dosn't hold out much hope. So either I win the lottery or I save for a very long time.

Don't know if you're still following this, I've been out of circulation for a couple of weeks and only just worked my way down here, but this post (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=69157) may be helpful, full and frank discussion. Just ignore my contributions, OK? ;)
