sounds good but only entering a postcode how will it come to my house?
Leanne200
11-12-2006, 4:47 PM
Hmmm wondering about the postcode only thing... maybe they send you an e-mail asking for address?
I put my house number also in the post code section just in case! lol

Sounds dodgy to me - i mean look at the address for a start. There is no way the company can resolve your address from your postcode as many houses share the same postcode. With ur house no and postcode - it may get 2 u

mmmmmmmm just have to wait and see!
Applied anyway!
Looks to me like they are developing that page for a promoter and it's not finished yet. (Have a look at the home page at that domain, it's a web development company).

The single it alludes to is out on the 1/1/2007. Looking at the closing date of the offer on the page it is 13/12/07, this must a test page. Would suggest not putting any details in at the moment.

Hi. I have a whole collection of of these form singles of the last album. They use a fullfillment house like this to take details and issue. Usuall get them about 10 days later.

if you go to http://sme-web-solutions.co.uk/UF/ you can see everything this site has, and basically it's this one page, the rest is all a work in progress.
They can't send you anything with only a postcode. in the case of highrise flats 100+ houses share the same p/code.
After entering your details it says thanks for your 'entry' sounds like we're entering a competition for the wallet (although it doesn't say that anywhere) the site does say numbers are limited, but not what they are limited to...all very sus to me.
would be very interested to here where the original poster got this site info from

Grand, just got mine through the mail. Nothing like a piece of card board to say your a real fan. And I'm not even a "real" fan ( member of the fan club) Saw plenty of these posted up for sale on Ebay though. going for about £1,- a pop. I emailed all the bidders and gave them the link. hehehehehe..nothing like a day of boredom to get up to things:snow_laug

I did too and was about to throw it out till I saw them on e-bay I put it on for 'buy it now' and in the space of a few hours i have made a tenner! (having turned down offers of £5 & £7)
I didn't order with the intention of putting it on e-bay but now the winner has something they really want and i have £10 a much nicer way of recycling than the tip!

Anyone who received it who doesn't want it, I would advise selling it on ebay. Many are selling for more then £10. I've already put mine up, 5 days to go and £5. I also suggest that you make delivery to America and Europe etc, because it was a UK only promotion, so people in other countries may be more willing to buy them. Not too sure why people pay for a bit of cardboard.
Good luck.

How generous of you - do you reckon you can get more for it on eBay than auctions like this one?

Depends how you pack it, they'll probably want a board backed envelope which would add to the weight of it.
Specify that you want to send it as "Printed papers" and it'll be cheaper, certainly no more than £1.50, though that is me estimating but covers you to up to 200g (paying for the cardboard backed envelope is extra obviously, but you could make your own as long as it's strong enough not to damage in transit). try kitchen weighing scales to get a rough idea too.

I posted one to Finland it cost £1.10, I also posted a lip gloss to Italy which also cost £1.10 so I think it falls into the lightest weight category so it should be... you got it! £1.10 :D
Edit: Though I should add that I secured mine in cardboard also when I sent it and that was the price I paid

I also recieved a 'U2, Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own Collectors Edition Wallet', in 2005. I didn't collect the cd's and Dvd around the time they were out. The wallet has just been sitting around and collecting dust for the past few years, I was just wondering how much one would sell (with or without) the cd's inside. I don't have much money at the moment as I am a student lol.
Also it is sometimes helpful to browse through www.eil.com (http://www.eil.com) to find any kind of rare/ promotional item released by bands. I found a similar oasis slipcase on there which is selling for £25 without cd's.
