any way if I can find out if a car was registered as scrapped

My BIL bought a car off us, the it was scrapped, but my partner has just seen a car with same reg number :eek: any way we can enquire about this as concerns me a bit as this car seemed to be ok but the previous one was cut to bits for parts.

it can check when the car was last taxed etc and im sure it tells you the make and model the car *should * be.

Doesn't say if scrapped or not. Comes back as the right car, but this looked like the right car, but some bits were different. Concerned if same car been put on the road as front end was cut off.

I think you can do the reg check on the dvla or aa website too and it tells you when it was last taxed/mot'd.. maybe try this one?
