There is little difference between a Road Angel 1 and a 2. The one is better cos you can do a lifetime download subscription for £99. I have a 1 and it does the job perfectly. The only real difference is the 1 only has a serial port for downlaods and the 2 has a usb.

Hope this helps!

thankyou, pocket!!!!
my boyfriend is really into his cars and gadgets, just sold his lotus elise s2, and got the mini and its already got lots of extras, all chrome fittings and factory fitted satnav so a road angel is the only option, but i dont want to spend that much as we are having a bit of a hard time!!! :(

Hi piper5 I have the New Road angel and I wouldn't be without it. Having read the threads if I was you i would go back to eBay as there are a few there that could be within your price range, not everybody deals with paypal so paying by cheque is possible. There are a couple of new ones advertised for £179.00 and there are a few that are on auction which may be worth bidding on. If you haven't got an account it would pay you to set one up, takes a very short time and you could still get the Angel in time for Xmas. If you buy one that is not updated you will have to pay an annual sub of £49 or two years for £79 or 3 years for £99 this allows him to get the latest up to date locations of all fixed and temporary cameras....... Have a look see what you think:confused: ;)
