I Think They'll Be Redundant In April Anyway.

Apparently Royal Mail Are Going To Be Basing Their Postal Rates On Size Of Envelope And Thickness Of Items Inside. Items Over 1 Kg Will Be Unchanged.

Told Of This In Work Last Week By Sales Rep Trying To Sell Us New Franking Machine.

I ordered one the last time they were mentioned, I did receive it eventually.

Basically it is a piece of cardboard you slot together to make a triangular tube. It has pre-cut slits at one end and you put your letter in one of the slots to see how heavy it is.

Hope that helps.

I got mine after a second attempt and it went straight in the bin.
It is for weighing letters basically.

I got mine last year and wrapped it up in paper for christmas. I give it to Shay Given, who thought he was getting a bar of Toberone.

After that it went in the bin

I've applied for one of these a couple of times and never received it. Maybe I should have submitted a complaint for lost post!!

Kerry - its meant to be for weighing letters !!

jgjet - you can reduce your links by:
{url=http:www.whereever.com}Short Desc.{/url}

Substitute with square brackets, rather than curley and hey presto!

I have applied for one in the hope of getting it! I got this a couple of years ago and it came in handy at the time as i was writing to pen friends and it helped me by letting me know if another stamp was needed!
It is a triangular shape with slots in the top that you perch your letter, if it doesn't keep the balance you put the letter in each slot until it does then you can see the weight and price of postage!

Don't know what you're expecting, but it's a Blue Peter type cardboard gismo. Bit of a let down, but does a basic job -- just!

Weighing letters to find the correct postage, especially for sending abroad can sometimes be a problem: kitchen scales can't do the job accurately enough, you're too busy to get to your local Post Office™ branch, and you think...just think that the letter in your hand is a wee bit too heavy for the standard postage. Using the wrong postage could mean that the item could be returned to you - or that you're paying too much. What do you do? That's where EasyWeigh can help. A simple, cardboard weighing device, EasyWeigh weighs letters from 20g to 100g, and is completely free to order. We even pay for the postage. Which we calculated on an EasyWeigh as being 30p.

Thank you for your order. We will send your EasyWeigh™ within 48 hours. ;)

I got one last year fairly quickly but prefer to use my kitchen digital scales, which are deadly accurate - when posting ebay items they are always within a couple of grams of post office scales...

1st time i've seen this offer, so clicked and submitted.
Received confirmation email straight away (delivery within 48hrs!)

Then had a look at the Royal mail site and found...

Sorry!
Sorry but Easyweigh is no longer available, for information on prices and weight scales, please refer to our pricing section.
:)

Just got another email saying that they now aren't supplying these anymore.
As in one of the above posts, it looks like there will be a different pricing method
