5000 Free Nectar Points

Got a mailing last week from Nectar Points offering 5000 free nectar points (Thats £25) for anyone test driving the All new Ford Focus before the end of March. If you are thinking of buying a new focus you get a further 15000 points on the purchase. The £25 for a test drive didnt seem bad to me.

I booked a test drive. The garage called to say their machine was broken and booked me in elsewhere. After taking the test drive they said their nectar machine was broken too, and I had to physically call back in with my card to get the points added. I have done that but they only photocopied it and promised to do it the following day. I'm not holding my breath! Imagine trying to get them to sort out a car under warranty if they can't even do this.

I called up today to book my test drive, was honest and said i have no intention of buying a car doing it purely for the points and the guy said well to save both our times come in and i will just put the points on for ya :D

just drove down to my nearest garage (which is about 2 miles away) they put the points on there and then so done and dusted in about 10 mins and just earnt £25 im well chuffed :D

T&c's state one test drive per card not per person.
Therefore pick up a few cards in store, and as long as you only use each card once you get all the points. Take a day out touring ford dealers.
Points take about 3 days to come through.
Enjoy lots of free shopping, and with the money you save put it towards a decent car like a Toyota, Mazda or Honda etc !!!!!! :j :T :rotfl:

yep it was christchurch i went to creme brulee. very helpful bunch arent they :D

Went to our local Ford dealer and told the bloke we didnt really want the test drive but would like the points and he said thats fine,and thanked me for being honest .

I must recommend this deal as the easiest £25.00 you'll ever make.

Just walk in to a ford dealer, take a 10 minute drive in a nice new ford, walk out with £25 on your nectar card!

No forms, No requirements, surprisingly didn't even show a license!!!!!

Went to my local ford garage, said I wasnt interested in the car, just wanted the points. He said they have had loads of people coming in doing this just for the points and thanked me for being honest as most people arn't. No need to do the test drive, just swiped my card through. He did say that this only gives you 2500 points though and to get the other 2500 you need to buy 2 litres of fuel at any bp garage, and then it activates the rest of them.

Well, it must just be me, because my points STILL haven't shown up on my nectar account. I've emailed them and they said the problem is with Ford. So I've emailed them as well, with no reply, and I've sent them a letter now as well. I wouldn't mind but I actually did the flipping test drive!! Well I won't be buying a car from them..

Is there a code I require to get this offer. I phoned my local garage to enquire about this offer he seemed to think you needed a code from the ford website to get this offer? Has anybody go any help here wouldnt mind taking advantage of this freebie

Hi, Had a look at my statement online and the 5000 points have been added.
This will mean loads of DVd's to catch up on at blockbuster even better now since they have put there rental prices up.:j :j :j :j :j

There isn't a code you just go along and ask for a test drive then tell the sales person that you really just want the points. They then go and swipe your card and give you a receipt..Hope that helps.

So dont know if they are getting it wrong for everyone or if it was just a one off - might be worth a try if anyone lives in this neck of the woods.

How long does it take from having your card swiped to the points appearing on your card/account? I went to the ford garage on Monday, they swiped my card and gave me a receipt, but no points showing.

Can anyone remember how long the offer stated that you'd have to wait for the points to show on your card, as they've removed all links to the offer now?

I test drove one and took my signific other and the guy swiped BOTH our cards got the points through about three days later no problem.

Did this a few days after the thread and didnt need to take test drive as they didnt have the focus available to drive - gave me a free cup of tea and swiped my card - job done! Nice one thanks very much for this one it was great!!!!

I had the same problem, no points showed on my account so got in touch with Nectar by email and they said I should contact the Ford Information Service.
I had a right job finding the address, but wrote to them (no email address shown) and the points were added straight away, and a very nice letter back too. You could try writing to them at this address
