It's nearly Valentine's Day, love is in the air and we've got the perfect way to help you pop the question...
"When it comes to proposing to your perfect love match, you could get down on one knee and say it with flowers - or you could scratch your way to living happily ever after, with a special edition of the Love Match scratchcard from The National Lottery.
It's virtually identical to the Love Match scratchcard available in the shops now, except when you scratch off the panel you reveal the message 'I love you, will you marry me?' - if you get the answer you're looking for, that's a prize money can't buy. "

The concept of St. Valentine's Day is lovely, unfortunately however the reality (like Christmas) is just relentless cosumerism and pressure.
Has anyone ever seen the episode of The Simpsons where a card company or chain store invents "Love Day" because of their slower mid year sales???
And will sites please stop trying to sell me gold plated Rolos. Who in their right mind wants a gold plated Rolo for £40? Perhaps the most useless piece of tat ever invented!!
Or am I just becoming cynical in my old age (30)?

elvis_bloggs

Are you trying to get me thrown into the the tower, the swan is a protected bird, you need royal permission to eat a swan, besides that, they are a bit stringy and I don't like them. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v520/elvis_bloggs/Album%201/1a_y_wink.gif

I got one of these and have only just read the back of it. (I was bored).
It says in bold writing: " Propose responsibly. Make sure you have found your perfect love match."
It also says: "How to propose"
"Scratch off coating. Read the marriage proposal from your partner immediately. Say yes. Hug, kiss and declare undying love for each other. Live happily ever after."
As if anyone needed instructions lol! :)
