Regular savings account with montly statement?

Morning!

Was hoping you lovely smart (yes, crawling) people would be able to point me in the direction of a regular saving account that provides monthly statements in the post.

Not a particular want of mine, but a necessity for immigration purposes (aussie here you see).

I would be looking at depositing £500 per month. I would also prefer monthly interest payments also as the money is being saving for a trip home next year.

Coventry Building Society supply monthly statements by post for their hybrid savings/current account called Coventry First which currently pays 5.35% AER including bonus for the 1st year of account opening. (If Base Rate changes, so will Coventry's rate within a month.)

£1,000 must be deposited per month, but each month you could withdraw via ATM (up to £500 daily), deposit it in your non-Coventry bank account, and post a cheque therefrom to Coventry's freepost address, as your monthly deposit. Or indeed post (or transfer via BACS) any other income you receive, to earn 5.35% AER.

I have regular savers with Lloyds, A&L and Halifax and they don't provide monthly statements so you can rule those out. Monthly statements with regular savers will probably be quite rare I would imagine being that interest is normally paid annually

HSBC send quarterly statements for their 8.00% Regular Saver account. To have such a/c, the customer must have an HSBC current a/c, into which salary or retirement income must be received electronically each month (can be as low as the deposit to RS a/c, max £250).

go for the best rate and ask them to send out a statement whenever you want it

I have regular savers with: Bradford & Bingley, Leeds, Leek, Principality, Halifax, Lloyds, Abbey, Alliance & Leicester, Barclays, Stroud & Swindon, Yorkshire, Ipswich and Coventry and I've just discovered today that Coventry are the only one who send a monthly statement. The bulk of these operate with Pass Books.

Just a thought, but when next year are you thinking of going home? Most regular saver accounts have conditions attached, often meaning the account must be open for a year (with a deposit each month) to qualify for the bonus.
