Switching 2 car radios between 2 cars

Hi - I'm looking to switch 2 car radios between 2 cars. Halfords have quoted £80 total for the job (£40 each car). Does anyone know if i can get a cheaper deal elsewhere? :confused:

What make of radio is it?.

If it is a single height, standard aftermarket DIN style radio then its basically a 10 or 15 minute job, so £80 sounds a little steep.

It is possible that an adaptor needs to be purchased to convert the wiring, behind the dash but these are usually only around £5 and it doesn't add much time to the job!.

If you don't know anybody who can do this for you, then try a few local garages or look under Auto Electrical in the Yellow Pages. I'm pretty sure that if it is a standard sized radio, and DIN wiring in the car to which you need it fitted to, that the cost should be at least half of what you've been quoted!.
