Have just registered and it said I've got the 10 free searches. What am I doing wrong? It is asking me for £2 and also for details for payment. I know it's probably something simple I've missed but I can't figure it out. It's been a long weekend, that's my excuse.

Brilliant, thank you so much. I was keen to find out how much a house exactly like ours had sold for but was too mean to pay the £2 fee.

Got a price. Didn't expect it to have sold for as much as it did.

If these house prices are based on the values shown at the Land Registry you need to be a little bit careful as to the actual price paid.
We bought our house (new) from Barratt and they gave us a £13,000 discount for a quick sale. However the Land Registry price shows that we paid the full price before the discount (and we had to pay stamp duty on that too!).
So if the seller does anything like throwing in discounts or cashbacks (which we did when we sold a house a few years ago) the actual price paid may have been below what the LR states.

You don't need to pay for these at all. Rightmove.co.uk give you them free.
At the top right hand side of their home page they have a box titled SOLD PRICES click on that and follow instructions to get as many free searches as you like.
