It is quite hard to find in Boots, in my local shop it was hanging on the side/end of the row where the baby food jars/biscuits were! But it could be by the vitamins/omega fish oils/etc. Only a smallish box too, but lots of samples in there.
Good luck finding them!

Do take note of the amount of effective ingredient in Omega 3 Chewable Fish Oil For Kids capsules.
While anything free is probably better than nothing don't EVER be conned into paying for them. Almost worse than useless as the amount of omega 3 is so pathetic it's hardly worth bothering with. 2 capsules provide only 260mg of omega 3 EFA's. less than half what is an effective amount, about the same as just one tenth of a standard tin of sardines in tomato sauce.
Would you think it sensible nutitionally to make one tin of sardines last 10 days?
It's pathetic amount and only a rip off merchant would attempt to con parents with such a mean amount.

I gave this to my kids for 12 weeks as they were unruly and agitated all the time. I didnt buy the halliborange one as it taste foul, we got boots own brand which is strawberry flavoured and put it into glasses of strawberry milkshakes so they didnt taste the "slime" effect. Its about £6 a bottle. Well it worked and their concentration levels rocketed. We now buy fortfied milk containing it but I can't get my kids to eat oily fish - the recoil in disgust the minute i mention it.

If you can't persuade your kids to acquire a taste for zipvits omega juice then try Healthspans St clements or even the cheaper Superdrug Cod liver oil liquid. But an EFFECTIVE amount of OMEGA 3 starts at 550mg of EPA+DHA if you are seriously wanting to improve your child's powers of concentration then short changing them with ineffective amount isn't fair do's.
If you are using St Ivel Clever Milk be aware a 250ml serving has only 0.113mg of omega 3. so your child would need to drink five 250ml glasses of this daily to get an effective amount of omega 3.
I agree that every little helps but really all you are giving your child is the equivalent of a quarter of one sardine's worth of omega 3.

Hi Ted and thanks, you seem really clued up on all this sort of stuff, do you run a health food practice or is it just a hobby/way of life? who taught you?
Could you tell me the best way to get enough of this stuff into my kids? If you are knowledgable about supplements that can relieve other common problems I would be grateful for any advice you could give

Hi Ted and thanks, you seem really clued up on all this sort of stuff, do you run a health food practice or is it just a hobby/way of life? who taught you? I had to find out how best to control my own ill health as I was going steadily downhill following my GP's advice. I may know quite a bit but it is only along very fixed lines that I've been following for some years now. omega 3, vitamin d, lately vitamin c, selenium, green tea. So although I've been keeping up to date with the latest research it's only in relatively limited areas.
Could you tell me the best way to get enough of this stuff into my kids? I'm afraid I can't. I persuaded my daughter to give the very disturbed foster children Zipvit's Omega Juice and they have accepted it without any problems or hassle. I take it myself but can't persuade my partner that it would be far more cost effective and efficient than the omega capsules she takes.
If you are knowledgable about supplements that can relieve other common problems I would be grateful for any advice you could giveI'm afraid anything that appears to be medical advice cannot be given on this forum. If you have a problem then it is sometimes possible to provide a link to a reputable medical information website but often medical advice seeking threads get closed before this can occur.
The way to find out if the condition you are suffering may be relieved by a particular supplement is to use a search engine like Google Scholar (http://scholar.google.com/) or the Pubmed database (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi) if there is research showing that a particular vitamin/supplement has been found useful for a particular problem then there will be some evidence to support it's use. If there isn't anything promising forthcoming then it probably means it will be a waste of time and money trying it.
However you do have to read the research papers carefully, sometimes I wonder where the researchers are coming from as they may appear not to be aware of the fundamental basics of the substance they are supposedly trying to research.

Sincere apologies for going off subject, but have to agree with deonos, I have been reading www.amazon.co.uk/Against-Arthritis-Infarction-Cancer-Diseases/dp/0969527217/ref=pd_sim_b_1/280-3232358-7228605 , best £6.95 I have ever spent in my life, has fixed my troubled shoulder in under a month, buy it, you will not be disappointed.
