Hello chipsdog
I'll move your thread over to the 'Motoring & Public Transport' board, where it should get more views and responses.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=1009335#post1009335)) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com (abuse@moneysavingexpert.com).

My daughter used admiral first year elephant 2nd. I was put on her policy as a second driver she holds policy. It reduced the price by over £150.

www.ecarinsurance.co.uk
offer pay as you go cover and make sure you select it on the first screen as otherwise they may be quoting you for an annual policy by monthly instalments.

Ecar does monthly rolling insurance
Norwich Union does a pay as you go on the basis of mileage
There is no insurer that will always be cheapest, driver age is only one of the rating criteria and whilst a few may be more favourable for younger drivers the location of the vehicle, type of vehicle will also vary between insurers and may outweigh the rating factor for age
