you mean garmin i3?

with a £200 price difference, not really comparing like for like, but I have an i3, and it is very good. No bells and whistles like the 510 would have, but it does the job well. I couldn't justify or afford £300-£350 the 510 costs, but I could justify the £99 I paid for the i3.

At the end of the day, they do the same thing, just depends what features you want

The i3 is more complicated to input your start and finish points, it doesn't have a touch screen. Just a scroll button, so takes longer I guess. Doesn't really other me. And the screen is tiny next to the 510, but certainly usable. Never had a problem

All down to budget, and amount of use it will get

I have recently bought the Garmin Nuvi 300. Has very similar features to the TomTom but costs less.
A friend bought one this week for £228 delivered.
