View Full Version : Any websites to help my cervical concern?

I have been to my doctor many times over the last two years. Since pregnancy I have had three serious issues which have been sorted, but I have also had lots of concerns in between, about once every two months I have been to see her, often with different concerns, and I know from the last visit I have annoyed the GP with my returning.

I know precisely now what it is, I felt as if my body was breaking down, and how vulnerable it had shown itself to be with the three other issues and each problem I had felt really serious.

Anyway, now I am really concerned, I am not very good with my anatomy always very ignorant about checking myself.

I have some concerns about my cervix, I have felt a lump and don't know where to turn.

Before I present myself to the doctor I want to check out if this is normal or a concern. I don't know what a normal cervix should feel like.

I know this forum is not allowed to give medical advice, so I wonder if it is possible to provide me with some links to websites (I have been searching today and can't find any to help).

Thanks for your help

Hopefully one of these sites can put your mind at rest or you will find advice to follow.

If you cannot go back to your GP or practice nurse, is there an NHS walk in centre near you. You can check on the NHS website if you are not sure. You may be able to get a nurse there to check you out but it will appear on your medical records so your GP will know about it.

Are you sure your GP was annoyed? I feel as if my body is falling apart at the moment and I keep going back but mine are menopausal linked and it seems as though we get one issue cleared up and another one starts. If you GP is unsympathetic to your concerns, is it possible for you to see another doctor?

Your cervix should feel like the tip of a nose.
