This seems a bit iffy and looks like you need to be a company but might as well try it.

I have 4 children, nothing scares me .................... seriously, I just commented that I would like to see a sample and could they send me one and that because I run a local children's activity group we would like to test before we buy ! (which is true) and that the product review would be in our monthly newsletter.

I once won a year's supply of bread with Braces and that was rather nice.

I got an email this morning from a Jane somebody from Warburtons saying that the offer was only for journalists and that if I wanted to sample the bread for personal use she'd send me some vouchers... I didn't have the guts to lie about me being a journo so I settled for the vouchers

Dear all,

Many thanks for your recent emails to Warburtons and for your interest in trying our products.

We welcome any feedback on how you have found the site, our service and most importantly our bread!

As I mentioned on my email this site is specifically for journalists and is therefore not the easiest way to request vouchers.

We do have an established way of requesting vouchers if you are one of our consumers, which I have listed below.

For all those that have emailed before 10am this morning, I will ensure that your vouchers get sent out to you. However, for all those looking at this forum after 10am please can I request that you contact our Customer Care department directly and advise that you are contacting us via this website?

This will ensure that you get your vouchers as quickly as possible.

Our Customer Care department can be contacted at talktous@warburtons.co.uk

Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any feedback at jane.sutton@warburtons.co.uk

Please do not reply to this forum to speak to me as I will not be checking it regularly.

Many thanks for your interest again,

Jane

This is what I got when I emailed talktous@warburtons.co.uk using the direct link from Jane Sutton's post:

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

talktous@warburtons.co.uk
SMTP error from remote mailer after RCPT TO:<talktous@warburtons.co.uk>:
host mail1.warburtons.co.uk [195.92.102.123]:

So I have emailed direct from the Contact Us bit on Warburton's website and it says that was received.

I have just had this nice email back from the Contact Us bit of the Warburtons website:

"Thank you for your email, we are delighted that you enjoyed looking at our
Website and hope that you found it informative. We will send you some
information about the our product range and some coupons to use.

You might like to look out for some of our new products like the 800g
Wholemeal Toast loaf or the 400g Healthy Inside loaf, both new to our range
and available at most major supermarkets.

Kind regards

Christine Bunn
Customer Care"

The actual email address it came from is not exactly as per Jane Sutton's letter but Talk2Us @ warburtons.co.uk (I have put gaps either side of the '@' so it does not get picked up by one of those webspiders, so close it back up if you use it.)

Violetta :)

This is the response I got:

If you are a consumer and are wanting to trial some of our products I
wanted to write and advise that I am unable to send out individual loaves,
however I will pop some vouchers in the post to you in order for you to try
some of our products. Please could you let me have your postal address?

Yes, Jane seems like a lovely person. I'll write Warburtons head office after I get the vouchers and tell them what a wonderful person they have working for them.

By the way, I got the vouchers in the post today.

Warbies are a fantastic company, you cant beat their bread. it used to be a nightmare going camping when we were younger you just couldnt get a warbies blue loaf down south we had to suffer kingsmill.

Living up ere we get the bread pretty fresh from the corner shop too, my mate used to work for warbies and they are treated really well. I dont work for warbies but I work for the local football team so I kind of do work for one of the warburtons. we've had some dodgy loaves and someone came round with trays of bread and other items which was brilliant as we got to try all their other stuff for free and we still buy most of it, you cant beat a super toasty.

On to another thing mentioned by across, what a nightmare it is to go get pasties from THE pastie shop with all the road works I used to be able to drive up park outside "go get some change for the meter" from the pastie shop and eat pasties on the way home best pasties in the world.

You dont live in peter kay land especially if you live in the area of the bakery
