Need some help, don't know if this is right place as it is nothing to do with money saving.

My Mum (70) was playng bowls today when she bent down and heard a rip. Thought it was her trousers. Other people heard it too. When she stood up, bad pain all around her knee and back of leg. She managed to get home driving an automatic car and is now resting it with an ice pack on it. It really hurts just above the knee and she can't put weight on it. Someone said it might be a torn ligament.
We don't know what to do. She lives alone but I have offered to take her to hospital tonight. She says see how it is tomorrow. Do you think it might be alright or not?

Read this and follow their suggestion for an ice pack until you can get her to a health professional.
