I do but I'm afraid we cannot give out medical advice. Best he goes to see the doctors about it.

I have no idea what could be wrong. You could try NHS Direct (http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/articles/article.aspx?ArticleId=1151) and then perhaps on advice an NHS walk-in centre, casualty or your GP.

I have to agree with black-saturn your partner should go and
see the doctor just to get it checked out.
Good luck

I am not for one moment suggesting that your partner's problem is anything really serious - although of course I don't know! - but I was astonished to hear the chap who used to present The World at One on Radio 4 the other day. He and his wife had kept a diary of his illness, and one of his first 'entries' was saying how he had waited until a lump in his leg had grown so large that he could not walk without discomfort before he went to the GP. Of course his wife had been suggesting that he should go long before that!

Why would an intelligent grown man NOT get something like that checked out by their GP? If he's worried about wasting the doctor's time, there are walk-in clinics and NHS direct.

Symptom: Leg numbness - WrongDiagnosis.com (http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/sym/leg_numbness.htm)
Numbness and Tingling (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003206.htm)
Could also be Peripheral Neuropathy
Studies have confirmed that peripheral neuropathy (tingling and numbness or burning pain) may occur with statins.
So as the others have said the sooner you see a GP the sooner you stop worrying.
